Daily Dose: Unforgettable Werner Herzog goes caving in 3D!

Director Werner Herzog is a remarkable fellow. When he’s not making memorable and classic narrative features like “Aguirre: The Wrath of God,” he immerses himself is the documentary form (see “Grizzly Man”). His latest adventure in non-fiction story-telling is called “Cave of Forgotten Dreams.” It will be shown in 3D in limited release next month and promises to be, pardon the play on the title, unforgettable. That is what I could glean from reviews of the film that say very good things. Too bad that the James Cameron produced “Sanctum” may scare some viewers away from another 3D cave film. But if it comes to our market, I intend to check it out.

The trailer for “Cave” is embedded below. Herzog’s last narrative feature “My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done” is available for rent.
