\"\"<\/a>Until the last week or so Quentin Tarantino\u2019s latest project was thought to be titled \u201cThe Angel, The Bad And The Wise.\u201d Such a title is clearly an homage to the work of Sergio Leone. But it now may be called \u201cDjango Unchained.\u201d A play on the work of another Sergio, Italian director Sergio Corbucci who directed and co-wrote the original \u201cDjango\u201d in 1966. There are rumors and references to Tarantino referring to the project as \u201cA Southern.\u201d But one forum entry on movieweb.com<\/a> argued that there was evidence that \u201cA Southern\u201d was the title of Tarantino\u2019s possible John Brown biopic.<\/p>\n

While the interesting John Brown picture may still bear that working title, it is becoming more and more apparent that Tarantino\u2019s next will be this \u201cDjango\u201d script he reportedly just completed.<\/p>\n

One article in The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> indicated that the early location for shooting \u201cDjango Unchained\u201d may be Louisiana. While I wouldn\u2019t want to take anything away from that fine state, my home state of Georgia may make a much better fit. The movie industry here is growing by leaps and bounds since the changes to the tax code made making movies in Georgia more affordable. As DFF readers already know, I started a Facebook page to encourage QT and his producers to bring the film to Georgia.<\/p>\n

\u201cReservoir Dogs\u201d (1992) \u2013 Shot in LA;<\/p>\n

\u201cPulp Fiction\u201d (1994) \u2013 Shot in LA;<\/p>\n

\u201cJackie Brown\u201d (1997) \u2013 Shot in LA, but Chris Tucker, who played Beaumont Livingston in the film, is an Atlanta native (I recently saw him in the lobby at the Atlanta Film Festival, he\u2019s not made a movie since 2007\u2019s \u201cRush Hour 3\u201d);<\/p>\n

\u201cKill Bill Vol. 1 and 2\u201d \u2013 Shot in LA, Austin, Beijing, Hong Kong, Mexico, Japan, and other locations in California.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeath Proof\u201d \u2013 Shot in Texas and California<\/p>\n

\u201cInglourious Basterds\u201d \u2013 Shot in Germany<\/p>\n
