Back in 1986, the fast, risk-taking bike messenger narrative was tried with Kevin Bacon as the two-wheeler speeder and Jami Gertz as the love interest. If you look closely at the trailer below, you\u2019ll notice slim wise-cracking Laurence Fishburne in the cast as well.<\/p>\n

This time around, with \u201cPremium Rush\u201d the bike messenger is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And to demonstrate the seven degrees of Bacon, \u201cRush\u201d is directed by writer\/director David Koepp, who directed \u201cQuicksilver\u2019s\u201d Bacon in 1999\u2019s \u201cStir of Echoes.\u201d The trailers for both films are embedded below. \u201cPremium Rush\u201d rides into theaters in January of next year.<\/p>\n
