The former “Friends” superstar whose extremely recognizable voice talents have become inseparable from the “Madagascar” series, Schwimmer has been spending more and more time behind the camera directing these days.

His last theatrical feature as a director was the charming “Run, Fatboy, Run” in 2007, which was a sweet romantic comedy. But with “Trust” he tackles a much more serious subject–online predators. In the film Clive Owen plays a father whose daughter becomes involved with someone sinister online–an older guy who passes himself off as someone younger. You can see where this is going from the trailer below. My hope is that instead of an ever-escalating action packed conclusion, we get more of Viola Davis and coverage of the healing process. Remember Todd Field’s painfully almost perfect “Little Children” in 2006. There is a movie about these subjects that doesn’t have to end with guns and needless violence.

“Trust” hits theaters in limited release starting April 1st. “Madagascar 3” is currently in production.

[1

post-951","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-blog","no-thumb
["GET
