From just watching the trailer, &#8220;Putty Hill&#8221; reminds me a little of Larry Clark&#8217;s &#8220;Kids&#8221; only a little more sentimental in tone.  Directed and co-written by Matt Porterfield, the website for the film, <a href=\"http:\/\/puttyhillmovie.com\/\">http:\/\/puttyhillmovie.com\/<\/a>, describes itin the following way:<\/p>\n<p><em>A\u00a0beautifully\u00a0realized\u00a0portrait of\u00a0a\u00a0close\u2013knit\u00a0community\u00a0on the\u00a0outskirts\u00a0of\u00a0Baltimore, PUTTY HILL\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0second feature\u00a0from\u00a0celebrated\u00a0young filmmaker\u00a0Matt\u00a0Porterfield (HAMILTON).\u00a0At\u00a0a\u00a0neighborhood karaoke\u00a0bar,\u00a0friends\u00a0and\u00a0family gather\u00a0to\u00a0remember\u00a0a\u00a0young\u00a0man who\u00a0passed\u00a0away.\u00a0Knowing\u00a0little about\u00a0his\u00a0final\u00a0days,\u00a0they\u00a0attempt to\u00a0reconstruct\u00a0his\u00a0life.\u00a0In\u00a0the process,\u00a0they\u00a0offer\u00a0a\u00a0window\u00a0onto their\u00a0own\u00a0lives,\u00a0an\u00a0evocative picture of\u00a0working\u2010class\u00a0America, dislocated\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0progress\u00a0and mobility\u00a0around\u00a0them,\u00a0but\u00a0united in\u00a0pursuit\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0shared\u00a0dream.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve included the trailer below.
