Number 10 – WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

Where “Bellflower” was a triumph of form with substance lacking, “We Need to Talk About Kevin” combines superior visuals with a meaningful story. Parents who see the film will be moved while watching it, and leave with the story knocking around in their heads for days if not weeks thereafter. As a father of two, a son and a daughter, “Kevin” hit me hard. Like I said earlier, I couldn’t take everything literally. This is because I’m in denial somehow, I’m sure, but the events that transpire in the film range from the mundane to the tragic to the horrific. “Kevin” is like the scariest horror film ever made and its not a horror film.
