Care for a Magatini? The folks down in Macon, Georgia, sure hope you want to sip their signature beverage. Starting yesterday, the 2013 Macon Film Festival opened with a special screening of “The Buddy Holly Story” with director Steve Rash in attendance. Rash will also be on hand on Friday for a free filmmaking workshop hosted by the festival.
The Macon Film Festival (or MAGA) is all about discovery of new filmmakers. An inviting and warm atmosphere, MAGA gives filmmakers a chance to hang out with other filmmakers from all over the world and talk movies. And the parties couldn’t be better!
This afternoon, a film I helped write and edit will be screening. That movie is called “The Man Who Ate New Orleans,” and it is screening today at 2:30pm at the Cox Capital Theater and tomorrow morning at 11:45am at the 567 Center for Renewal.
Macon is a great town and wants more filmmaker business.
