Wes Craven’s Kevin Williamson written SCREAM series is a guilty pleasure for my generation. And as much as it pains me to admit this, I can’t wait to see the new one. The photo included with this posting features David Arquette and Friend/spouse Courteney Cox. It is a bit bittersweet considering the separation of the two. Arquette, who played the sympathetic, kind, and heroic Sheriff/deputy Dewey Riley in the “Scream” series, has had his troubles with alcohol and other addictions since his parting from Cox. He gave a very candid interview to Howard Stern recently and as a guy who has been through it, my heart went out to the everyman actor. But they sure made a good couple and they look great in this photo.
Judging from the trailer, this 4th film is in step with the times–one character appears to be using an iPhone to shoot video in a scene. And I’ll bet that one of the core survivors from the first three movies gets “offed” early. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is hunted once again by the Ghostface Killer just in time for tax day on April 15th.
